L’amico Musso, con cui condividiamo strategie (…), propone questa interessante visione dei rapporti Franco-Italiani, chiaramente a totale svantaggio di Roma.
Il vero problema è che in pochi osano ribellarsi al giogo EU, a Roma; visto che gli strumenti di controllo e di ricatto soprattutto francese, a nome dell’EU, al poco che resta dell’intelligenzia politica italiana, nei pressi del Vaticano, sono ormai troppi.
Da qui la condivisione della nostra diagnosi italica con Musso: è la Francia – da secoli – il vero avversario della Penisola, la serpe in seno dell’Italia in ambito EUropeo/europeo.
A maggior ragione oggi, momento storico in cui – grazie all’euro – Roma ha poco o nullo margine di manovra. E poca materia grigia a supportare ogni qualsivoglia strategia di reazione.
Dunque, gli USA bene facciano attenzione: se Roma cade (in mani franco-tedesche, osssia EU, ndr), anche con annessi tentativi di annessione parziale e/o mascherati (leggasi anche, Trattato del Quirinale, ndr), è solo questione di tempo prima che le basi di potere mediterraneo americano vengano messe in discussione.
Gettando alle ortiche il solidissimo rapporto di sangue/comprensione/convenienza reciproca tra Italia ed USA. Roma deve infatti tornare ad essere colei che gestisce i rapporti Mediterranei in nome e per conto dei poteri occidentali usciti vincenti da Yalta.
Naturalmente Giorgia Meloni VA SUPPORTATA.

PARIS FOR GRETA THUNBERG

Current/new monetary hawkish stance is NOT transitory. Let’s explain it with the words of Mr. Bruno Le Maire, french Finance and Economic minister (he is already participating to italian government cabinet meetings, yes, no joke, /R):
“let’s be clear: at the end of this energy crisis, we will probably have a level of inflation higher than the one we used to know over the last few decades. Because the re-localization of our production – a strategic priority for all European countries – and the decarbonization of the economy, will structurally increase the cost of some products“.
But he does not complain at all, on the contrary: he wants the Franco-German axis to find “cooperation on renewable energy or hydrogen” and also has the nerve to pretend this will lead to “European energy independence”.
As one can see, he sounds enthusiastic. Indeed, it raises the ball even further: “we must defend a trade that is consistent with our climate ambitions” through “a more rigorous affirmation of our environmental interests, European preference mechanisms or the acceleration of the use of reciprocity tools” …
That is, duties applied to selected imported goods, for example the ones from the United States (…).
Without Le Maire taking any care of the fact that all this would lead to further inflation in EU and, therefore, it will make any ECB’s support to Italian government bonds totally impossible (Maybe there is a plan behind?)
In short, Paris says, more or less, the decarbonization of the economy is well worth the financial collapse of the Italian state.
A dreadful approach, for Rome: even if Italy has some money left over, it will have to choose for decarbonization. That is, switching away from gas pipelines and regasification terminals, in every case. A total non sense..

PARIS, FOR FISCAL AUSTERITY
All this notwithstanding, inflation must be fought with “the proper coordination of the budgetary policies of the member states“.
That is, fiscal austerity, as “a restrictive monetary policy is not compatible with an expansionary budget policy“.
And such fiscal austerity must be imposed by Brussels with more force than before: “it is legitimate for the Commission to equip itself with the means to ensure that each country respects its commitments. State responsibility implies strict control. Something which France supports”.
Not only that, given that such fiscal austerity will be the only line of defense of the Italian government bond market: “coordination, and more coordination. Whether it is about our budgetary policies, or about the consolidation of our public finances”.
The final outcome seems more than clear, it is only a matter of time before it is materialising.
Whereby, no great imagination is needed to glimpse the ax that Brussels is ready to drop upon any Italian expenditure on gas pipelines and regasification terminals (…). With the argument that there will already be the German ones, owned by EU preferred partners.
In short, says Paris, even if Rome miraculously manages to finance itself without the ECB, it will not have and will not have the money to build the Italian hub that bothers the Russo-Germans so much.

PARIS FOR FISCAL AUSTERITY … BUT IN ITALY ONLY
Le Maire adds that the fiscal austerity imposed upon Italy, won’t be imposed upon France and Germany.
Upon France, first of all, for which the Minister is happy to have spent with extreme generosity: “France remains the country with the lowest inflation rate in the eurozone (due to the forced nationalisation of EDF? /R). This is the best protection for our compatriots, the result of the strategic choice made by the President of the Republic, starting from October 2021, with the implementation of the national tariff shield on gas and electricity“.
And upon Germany, where the chancellor has just launched a large defensive umbrella worth 200 billion euros … added to another 100 billion allocated at the outbreak of the war, for a maximum of 300 billion, 8.4 percent of GDP.
In blissful solitude.
Here we find Mr. Le Maire blathering that “Spain, Italy, Germany and France have put more or less the same funds on the table, to protect their economies” … as that’s not true: the German “energy related” relief/aids , in terms of GDP, is almost triple the Italian one.
Le Maire’s brazenness goes so far as to pretend these are funds intended to be spent “in weapons and climate transition“. Stuff that one misses in a circus. In short, says Paris, not only will Italy be prevented from building a gas hub competing with the Russo-German one, as we have seen. But also, she’ll get punished for daring to dream so much, through the destruction of her economy, buried by subsidized Franco-German competition.

PARIS FOR THE ESM, THAT IS FOR THE FAILURE OF THE ITALIAN STATE
Enough, the reader will think. But not for Le Maire. Here comes the question of the ESM, aka Troika.
And of its reform, as written in a New Treaty, of which Le Maire is one of the two fathers, together with the current Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
A treaty whose horrendous nature has been recently recalled by the ESM itself:
[1] it offera financing to Member States “in the event of external shocks” (such as the war in Ukraine and the consequent energy crisis),
[2] but only to those that already comply with tax rules,
[3] and only after having judged the public debt sustainable,
[4] since its purpose is not to save the member states, but to prevent the crisis of a member state of the Euro from investing the remaining ones.
What if a state is hit by an external shock (such as Italy), but does not comply with tax rules (such as Italy)?
Well, his debt will be judged unsustainable and any support will be subject to a preventive restructuring. Now, dear readers, please tell us in which possible way could Rome ever be able to finance gas pipelines and regasification terminals … while Paris and Berlin order Rome to restructure its public debt…
In no way at all, obviously. So, inevitably, keeping the Euro as its currency, the ratification of the New ESM Treaty by Italy will mark the certain death of the Italian energy hub and the certain triumph of the Russo-Germans.

PARIS MAKES USE OF THE MIGRANTS LIKE A CLUB
Paris isn’t done yet. Here comes the issue of NGO ships, which land migrants in Italy … and in Italy only.
Crucial detail: these are primarily French and German ships.
Now, we are not here to discuss Italy’s migration policies, but the one-sidedness of the Franco-German ones: two countries that throw the migrants’ burden on Italy. Indeed, doing their best to aggravate it, through the ships of their NGOs. And without ever relieving it, for example by welcoming to Germany migrants rescued by German ships, or by making the French ships sail to French ports: even if this would be perfectly possible, as demonstrated in our days by the forced departure to Marseille of the Ocean Viking ship of the French NGO SOS Mediterranée.
Without avoiding a constant reference to a ridiculous mechanism of solidarity, which affects fewer migrants than those who could be hosted in a single bus.
Anyone with a minimum of cynicism will have no difficulty in recognizing, in this Franco-German attitude, an explicit attempt to destabilize Italy or, at least, its government. In short, Paris says, not only will Italy be prevented from building a gas hub, and not only its economy will be destroyed. But his political structure will also be destroyed, no matter if only a few weeks ago chosen by the sovereign people through free elections. And to which purpose?
Well, it’s easy… in order to reopen the doors to the just defeated party: the PD, that is the French/Legion d’Honneur core party. The one more than happy to accept the Franco-German, i.e. Russian, requests, at any cost.
Results: “somebody” is going to be more than happy, that is to say, to make the Americans unhappy.

LET WASHINGTON WAKE-UP
Faced with all these, the US must decide whether to accept a destiny already written: an Italian submission, that is the abortion of the Italian energy hub, that is the Russo-German triumph in the permanent economic war against Russia.
Or to support its challenge. But, in order to offer resistance, Washington must first understand to what level Berlin wants to take the fight: the one we have seen so far. And it must understand that Italy will never be able to resist a full blown EU wave like the Greek one during the “troika age”, 2011-2014; aka being subjected to the fiscal austerity, economic destruction and political destabilization that the Franco-German axis is already flagging.
It must be understood that, in order to resist, Rome must recover its fiscal autonomy, that is to say its monetary autonomy. Finally, after having taken it as a solid input, Washington must take care at explaining what to do, addressing the new Italian government. I mean, starting with a Tutorial: “Fundamentals of Survival in EU 1.0.1”

LET WASHINGTON COME TO ROME
The latter, in fact, is a curious mixture of crypto-French supporters in Rome, nowadays; such as the economy minister Giorgetti (who considers Le Maire “a friend”), alongside true pro-Americans, such as Prime Minister Meloni and most of her ministers.
The pro-Americans in government, however, do not seem to have the stakes perfectly clear in their mind: they still delude themselves that Paris is fighting with Berlin, that Berlin is fighting with Moscow; they cultivate the vain hope of a pro-American Germany which, sooner or later, will become a good fellow.

As Federico Punzi put it: they seem to delude themselves, absurdly, “that a more assertive attitude will be enough”. Let Washington come to Rome, use the great influence it still enjoys, to instruct the Meloni government on what is indispensable: not only to win the war in Ukraine, which sooner or later ends … but to win the permanent economic war on Russia, which is the real American war goal. Failing that, Berlin, with Moscow as its ally and Paris as its faithful servant, will win the great game.
And the United States will have thrown away a victory that today appears so close at hand.
(To make a long story short: if USA dow not intervene to support Rome, in a due way (…), Italy as hard core atlantic ally will be lost soon, /R).
